Momentive to Present Two Technical Papers at UTECH Europe

WATERFORD, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Momentive Performance Materials Inc. (Momentive), a leader in polyurethane foam additives, will present two technical papers at UTECH Europe focusing on developments in its Niax* products line. With over 50 years in the polyurethane industry, Momentive supplies silicone surfactants, amine catalysts and process modifiers to a global customer base.

During the session on slabstock foam on April 15, 2015, Dr. Gabriel Kiss will present “New Developments in Silicone Surfactants for High Resilience Slabstock Foams.” Momentive designs, produces and supplies high performance silicone stabilizers that are key in achieving desired cell size and dimensional stability in High Resilience (HR) flexible slabstock foams. Momentive has dedicated significant efforts to optimize additives in recent years and has developed new generations of silicone surfactants for HR flexible slabstock foams as a result of these efforts.

During the session on rigid foam on April 15, 2015, Dr. Pierre Chaffanjon will present “Advances in New Additives for High Performance Rigid Foam Panels Produced by Continuous Lamination.” Polyurethane rigid foam based panels produced by continuous lamination is a class of insulation materials with great growth potential due to superior and unique properties. Momentive has been actively focusing research on durability, low thermal conductivity and low void/high foam surface quality in recent years leading to the development of several families of new additives for this segment of thermal insulation materials.
